My ostomy experiences

My name is Tamara, born in 1965, I had Crohn's disease at the age of 14 and since 1992 I have an ileostomy.

Back then, I could hardly find any information on intestinal diseases like Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative colitis, let alone on fistulas or on a life “worth living” with an ostomy.

Since I felt reborn with an ostomy, I decided to publish my experiences to encourage other people back in 2005.

I, too, never wanted to have an ostomy, but I know that it has saved my life!
Nicole's saying: Better a bag on the belly than a note on the toe!

Straightforwardly and directly, I want to describe my very personal experiences with my ostomy!
