The ostomy bag is folded so that the neoprene has contact with the skin around it. He can still fill up and stay fixed until the weight gets too heavy and the bag slowly slides down.
The Numbat ostomy neoprene wrap can be worn to hold a hernia with a hole, should then be chosen very tight!
The ostomy bandage is closed with an adjustable velcro on the back. Side closure, or two-sided coating with fabric on request with surcharge possible!

Numbat without hole directions
Determine fit:
- Place bandage so that the rubber side has direct contact to your skin and your ostomy appliance is completely covered.
- Pleat your pouch in half upwards and after that once more downwards to a wave.
- The neoprene should be able to bond at least 1.5 cm with your skin outside the pleated ostomy appliance.
- Close touch fastener at the back.
Your pouch can fill up and remains fixed until the contents grows too heavy und it gradually slips downwards.
This bandage should be worn only so tightly that your pouch can fill up, otherwise the excretions channel their way under the bond area to the outside. Without a hole, it's not a hernia bandage.
A urostomy should in no case cause a backflow, as this can lead to serious complications with the kidneys.
Our Bumper (ostomy protection) can partially relieve this pressure.
Please contact us if it shouldn't fit perfectly! It's imperative to let our professionals take care of any modifications and adaptations!
Numbat with hole directions
Determine fit:
- Place bandage so that the rubber side has direct contact to your skin and the base plate of your ostomy appliance is completely covered.
- Close touch fastener at the back.
- It may barely be closed when trying it on, because it will stretch approx. 5 cm more after the hole is cut.
The bandage should be worn so tightly that your belly or an already existing hernia is sufficiently supported.
Please contact us if it shouldn't fit perfectly! It's imperative to let our professionals take care of any modifications and adaptations!
Determine hole position:
- Stick sample sticker there where you feel your ostomy, after that take off the bandage.
Determine OVAL hole size and cut hole:
- Concerning two-piece appliances = measure diameter of click ring or adhesive joint.
- Concerning one-piece appliances = measure diameter of the passage from the base plate/pouch vertically and horizontally.
- Transfer the real measured height but only half of the width with pencil or chalk to the bandage with the sample sticker.
- Cut the implicitly OVAL hole with a pair of curved nail scissors. Don't be afraid, the material does neither tear nor fray! Due to being under tension the hole becomes circular on the body while wearing the bandage!
Material and care instructions
- Shower the bandage with hot water from the hand shower, towel it down or let it dry.
- You can easily remove stains with washing-up liquid.
- However, you can wash the bandage at 30° in the washing machine. Keep the touch fastener closed in the process.
- Don't use bleach or laundry disinfectants, don't put into the tumble dryer, don't iron, don't dry-clean, don’t store on heat sources.
Warnings and precautions
- Never use the bandage without ostomy appliance.
- After contact with salt water or chlorine water, please, rinse with clear water.
